Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Your Debt Advisor uses personal information provided through this ResolveFlow service.

Who is responsible for your information?

Your Debt Advisor is the organisation responsible for the personal information collected for your application and the purposes described in this notice.

Information we collect

We may collect identity and contact details, address history, household and employment information, details of debts and creditors, income and expenditure, assets, information about previous debt solutions or relevant financial transactions, supporting documents, bank transaction information you choose to provide, application activity, and communications about your application.

Why we use your information

We use your information to create and administer your application, understand your financial circumstances, assess debt solutions that may be relevant, allow an adviser to review your case, request and review supporting evidence, communicate with you about your application, maintain appropriate records, protect the service, and meet applicable legal and regulatory responsibilities.

Our lawful basis

Depending on the activity, personal information may be processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an arrangement, to perform an arrangement with you, to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, or for legitimate interests such as operating a secure application and maintaining appropriate business records. Where the law requires a separate consent for a particular activity, that consent will be requested separately.

Reading this notice is an acknowledgement that you have been given privacy information. It is not intended to turn every use of your information into consent-based processing.

Credit information

ResolveFlow is being designed to allow credit information to be used to help build an accurate picture of an applicant's financial commitments. Before that feature is activated, this section will be updated with the relevant provider, data-source, lawful-basis and privacy information and any separate acknowledgement or permission that is required.

Who we may share information with

Information may be made available to authorised staff and advisers involved in reviewing your application and to service providers that support the secure operation of the service, such as hosting, authentication, document processing and transactional communications. Information may also be shared where necessary with professional, regulatory or other recipients connected with progressing a debt solution, or where disclosure is required by law. The exact recipients depend on the service and stage of your application.

Automated processing and adviser review

ResolveFlow can organise information and identify debt solutions that may be relevant based on the information available. A qualified adviser reviews the case before any final recommendation is made. The application itself does not approve or recommend a formal debt solution.

International transfers

Some technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, the organisation operating this service is responsible for ensuring an appropriate transfer mechanism or other lawful safeguard is used where required.

How long we keep information

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the application, advice, regulatory, legal, audit and record-keeping purposes for which it is held. Different records may have different retention periods. The organisation operating this service should publish or provide its applicable retention schedule where a specific period is required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure or restriction, object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing genuinely relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office. We encourage you to contact the organisation operating this service first so it has an opportunity to address your concern.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the service, its providers or the way information is used changes. Material changes will be reflected in a new version and, where appropriate, brought to applicants' attention.
